Select the product you are interested in – heat-shrink sleeves or heat-shrink tapes – to learn about their design, technical specifications, advantages, and available sizes.
InsulTech, in collaboration with Satbayev University (KazNITU named after K. I. Satpayev), is implementing a strategically significant project for the production of radiation-modified heat-shrinkable materials—sleeves and tapes for anticorrosion, waterproofing, and thermal insulation protection of pipelines. The production facility is located in the Republic of Kazakhstan and meets the requirements for industrial operation under high loads and aggressive environmental conditions.
Locking plate
The plate is based on a flexible polymer. The outer surface is covered with a reinforced fiberglass layer that protects the casing from mechanical damage
Pipeline joint insulation can be carried out in two ways: using a heat-shrink sleeve or a joint insulation tape
Pipeline joint
Heat-shrink sleeve
The sleeve has a two-layer structure (a polyethylene backing and a hot-melt adhesive) and, when used with a two-component liquid epoxy primer, forms a three-layer anticorrosion protection system similar to the factory-applied pipeline coating

Geometric dimensions of sleeves
The InsulTech heat-shrink sleeve is a measured length of a two-layer heat-shrink tape. The sleeve consists of a thermally and UV-stabilized, radiation-crosslinked and oriented polyethylene backing, and a hot-melt adhesive layer. Sleeves are supplied either as rolls or as pre-cut measured lengths. The thickness and width of the sleeves are determined by the pipe diameter and the length of the uninsulated section of the welded joint area.

Geometric dimensions of locking plates
The InsulTech locking plate is a two-layer system consisting of a radiation-crosslinked polyethylene base with an adhesive layer reinforced with fiberglass mesh. The plate is designed to join the end sections of the sleeve during sleeve formation into a ring and its subsequent heat shrinking.
